Congratulations are in order for several EarthEra partners who were recognized on Wednesday, October 20, 2010, by the U.S. EPA for their efforts in advancing green power sources in the United States. BD, BNY Mellon, Harris and the Port of Portland were all honored with Green Power Leadership Awards during the annual ceremony coinciding with the 2010 Renewable Energy Markets conference in Portland, Oregon.

Whole Foods Market, one of EarthEra's newest partners, won the EPA's  Green Power Partner of the Year award for its previous year's commitments.

The awards, co-sponsored by Center for Resource Solutions, the U.S. Department of Energy, and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, serve to recognize the leading actions of organizations, programs, and individuals that significantly advance the development of renewable electricity sources through green power markets.

EarthEra is the host sponsor of this year's Renewable Energy Markets conference. Carey International, Inc. and EarthEra have announced the launch of a groundbreaking environmental initiative in the chauffeured transportation sector. The new partnership balances Carey's unavoidable carbon dioxide emissions produced by its entire U.S. Embarque fleet as well as the fleets of Carey's premium service operations in Boston, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. Embarque is a new Carey International, Inc. subsidiary company that utilizes an entire fleet of mid-sized fuel-efficient vehicles, is 100% Carbon Balanced, and operates within its own network of select cities.
